How install NordVPN on Ubuntu

NordVPN is one of the leading VPN services in the world and NordVPN can be installed on Ubuntu operating system as well.

To install NordVPN on Ubuntu, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T.
  2. Update the package list by running the following command:

    sudo apt update
  • Install the openvpn and network-manager-openvpn packages:
    sudo apt install openvpn network-manager-openvpn
  • Download the NordVPN Linux client from the official website:

    wget https://repo.nordvpn.com/deb/nordvpn/debian/pool/main/nordvpn-release_1.0.0_all.deb
  • Install the NordVPN Linux client:

    sudo dpkg -i nordvpn-release_1.0.0_all.deb
  • Update the package list again:
    sql
    sudo apt update
  • Install the NordVPN client:
    sudo apt install nordvpn
  • Log in to your NordVPN account by running the following command:
    nordvpn connect
  • nordvpn login
  • Connect to a NordVPN server by running the following command:
    arduino
nordvpn connect

Alternatively, you can specify a specific server location by running:

arduino

nordvpn connect <country_code>
nordvpn connect <country_code>
Replace <country_code> with the two-letter country code of the server location you want to connect to (e.g., nordvpn connect us for a server in the United States).
